Fiber Bragg grating arrays are fabricated on any type of optical fiber by means of femtosecond laser direct writing. Taking advantage of the flexibility of femtosecond direct writing, the grating parameters can be flexibly customized, including central wavelength, reflectivity, grating pitch, number of gratings, etc. It has the capability of processing cellophane-coated optical fibers, without the need for secondary coating, which increases the stability and reliability of the devices.
